It was an idea, no I don't know where it came from. The accompanying piece, Belle the Vampire Slayer will be up shortly.
As a side note, do you have any idea how hard it is to find a picture of Gaston looking broody? He has many facial expressions, but the man is never dissatisfied with himself. Were it not for ~TrudiRose, I have a feeling he would simply be a gloating Angelus. But we all know Gaston can change (and if you don't, please go read [link] You won't regret it.

I just had another thought: if we're comparing BATB characters to "Buffy" characters...actually, I think Gaston would be Spike and Beast would be Angel!
Think about it: Angel is the angsty, broody one who thinks he's not "worthy" because he's a "monster." Whereas Spike is the reckless, utterly clueless guy who thought, "She doesn't want me...Oh! I know!!! I'll chain her up and threaten to let Dru kill her unless she admits there's hope she might love me! THAT'LL work!!!" LOL
